Dubuque Mayor Elected as President to Iowa League of Cities

Dubuque Mayor Brad Cavanaugh will serve as president-elect of the Iowa League of Cities executive board for the coming year. A report says that Cavanagh was elected at the league’s annual conference earlier this month and will serve as the president-elect until the next conference.  Typically, the president-elect is elected president the next year. Iowa League of Cities provides advocacy, training and guidance for cities in Iowa, and its executive board adopts policies, sets the budget and provides direction to the league.
