A case has been dismissed against a Georgia man who was accused of being involved in a check-cashing scheme in Dubuque, but investigations continue at the state and federal levels. 26 year old Kijana Roberts of Atlanta, Georgia previously was charged in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County with ongoing criminal conduct, first-degree theft, 10 counts of forgery and 10 counts of solicitation to commit a felony. The case was dismissed on a motion by prosecutors. Police identified a vehicle driven by Roberts as one linked to multiple fraudulent check-cashing incidents in February of 2022 at multiple local banks.
