A vehicle that ran a red light was the cause of a two vehicle accident in Dubuque on Tuesday evening that sent two people to the hospital. Dubuque police say the accident happened just after 5 o’clock on the Northwest Arterial at the Holiday Drive intersection. Police say a vehicle driven by 55-year old Karen Fisher of Delaware, Iowa ran the light and collided with another vehicle turning on the green arrow driven by 68-year old Daniel Kachikis of Dubuque. Both Kachikis and a passenger 74-year old Laura Kachiks were taken by ambulance to MercyOne Medical Center for treatment. Fisher was cited with failure to respond to a steady red light.
