Police said a Dubuque man fraudulently obtained four firearms and pawned two of the weapons for cash. 40 year old Roger Cole Jr. Of Dubuque was arrested at 4:05 p.m. Friday at his residence on a warrant charging third-degree theft, two counts of fourth-degree theft and three counts of using false information in acquiring a weapon. Reports says that Cole purchased one firearm on July 19, two additional firearms on July 20 and a fourth firearm on July 24, all from a Dubuque retailer. In each of the transactions, Cole used a checking account with insufficient funds. The total amount of the three purchases was over $2,400. On July 21, Cole pawned two of the firearms for $550.
