A Dubuque woman has been sentenced to two days in jail and two years of probation for threatening her boyfriend with a knife. 21 year old Pierria Smith received the sentence from Iowa District Associate Judge Robert Richter in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading guilty to charges of domestic assault while displaying a weapon and fourth-degree criminal mischief. According to a report, Smith was involved in a disturbance with her boyfriend, 24 year old Jermaine Brown on Nov. 19 when she retrieved a knife from their kitchen and threatened to stab Brown. Brown left the residence, and Smith then left the residence with a hammer in her hand and broke the windshield of Brown’s vehicle, causing $500 worth of damage.
