On Saturday at approximately 8:12am, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 80 at the intersection with Model Road in Hazel Green Township. After an investigation, it was found that 49 year old Kristi Bellmann of Cuba City was stopped at the stop sign on Roaster Road at the intersection with Highway 80. Bellmann was operating a Chevy Silverado and intended to cross the intersection and continue westbound on Model Road. 56 year old Leland Felderman of Benton, was operating his 2015 Ram truck southbound on Highway 80. Bellman stated she looked, but did not see the southbound Ram due to fog in the area. Bellman proceeded into the intersection and into the path of Felderman’s vehicle. The Ram 2500 had a snow plow attached to the front and the plow collided with the passenger side of Bellman’s vehicle. Both vehicles came to a rest in the roadway. Bellman’s vehicle had moderate damage to the passenger side. Felderman’s truck appeared to not have any damage, however there was possible damage to the snow plow and plow mounts. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. Both Bellman and Felderman were wearing seatbelts. Felderman received a minor laceration as a result of the crash but denied needing EMS.
