Dubuque Man Arrested on 1st Degree Murder Charges

A Dubuque man has been arrested on a charge of first- degree murder in connection with the death of his mother. 28 year old Tyler Dazey, was arrested Thursday morning on the charge and was being held at the Dubuque County Jail Thursday afternoon. Police responded to a residence on Avoca Street  at about 8:50 a.m. Thursday for the report of a deceased woman at the residence. Upon arrival, they located and identified the woman, 46 year old Jennifer Dazey.  Tyler Dazey, Jennifer Dazey’s son, was at the scene when officers arrived and was taken to the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center for an interview before his subsequent arrest. Additional information will be available after Tyler Dazey makes his initial court appearance this morning.
