Boyfriend Of Dubuque Woman Also Charged With Infant’s Death

The live-in boyfriend of a Dubuque woman charged in connection with the death of her infant son now also faces charges related to the June incident. 24 year old Khalil Holloway of Dubuque was arrested Tuesday at the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center on charges of three counts of child endangerment. Holloway lived with 24 year old Valessa Matlock who was arrested Jan. 17 on a warrant charging child endangerment leading to death, neglect or abandonment of a dependent person and two counts of child endangerment. Holloway and Matlock have two mutual children, and Matlock has another child who also lived in the couple’s apartment. The couple’s 2-month-old son was found unresponsive June 10 at the family’s residence and subsequently was pronounced dead that day at UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital.
