Over $700,000 will be used to help agricultural producers and small rural business owners invest in renewable energy, decrease energy costs and generate new income. The funding was announced Friday by U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin and comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Energy for America Program (REAP). Some of the Wisconsin farms and businesses that were awarded REAP grants include: Moneypenny Farms in Mineral Point, which received $125,000 which will be used to install a more energy efficient grain dryer.
