The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, better known as “The Vita Program” through Hawkeye Area Community Action Program is gearing up to launch its annual tax assistance services in Dubuque. The program provides free support to income eligible individuals and families from February 1st through April 12th administered by certified IRS volunteers and Hawkeye Area Community Action Program staff.
