Police say a man waved a handgun in the air in front of four children and his live-in girlfriend during a disturbance in Dubuque. 35 year old Nolan Henderson of arrested Saturday night at his residence on charges of domestic assault while displaying a weapon, first-degree harassment and four counts of child endangerment. According to a report, Henderson’s live-in girlfriend was leaving their residence with four children during a disturbance with Henderson when Henderson drew his black-and-gold handgun from his holster and began waving it around. The woman and the children drove to another house and contacted police. Police located Henderson sitting in a vehicle outside his residence with a loaded handgun in a holster on his right hip. Nolan told police he was arguing with his live-in girlfriend but denied displaying the handgun.
