Shullsburg Man Who Died In Fatal Incident Identified

The person who died early Monday Morning during an incident with law enforcement in the City of Shullsburg was from Shullsburg.  Sources say the man was 44 year old Greg A. Marcotte.  Local Officials have not identified the person since the matter is in the hands of the Department of Criminal Investigation.  The initial information from the D-C-I indicated the subject became distressed during the incident.  The involved officer from Darlington Police Department and the two Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office deputies have been placed on administrative duty, per department policy.
