With spring break on the horizon, families across Wisconsin are preparing for their annual getaways. However, as they hit the road, they might have to deal with more than just higher gas prices. AAA says this is the time of year we typically begin to see gas prices start to go up, but Wisconsin is experiencing higher gas prices compared to the national average, primarily due to a BP refinery in Illinois being temporarily shut down. As of now, the state’s average for regular gas stands at $3.33 per gallon which is $0.10 higher than the national average.
