Dubuque County Residents Recycle Over 4,300 Pounds Of Lights

Dubuque County residents recycled more than 4,300 pounds of unwanted holiday lights during a recent collection program. According to the Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency, residents recycled 4,377 pounds of lights during the collection held from Nov. 13 to Jan. 13. The amount represented a 6.37% increase from the previous season. A release states that more than 16,500 pounds of lights have been collected during the past five years of an expanded program to recycle lights.
