Couple Pleads Not Guilty For Child’s Death

A Dubuque man who faces charges related to the death of he and his live-in girlfriends infant child has entered a plea of not guilty and a trial date has been set. 24-year old Khalil Holloway was arrested in January on three counts of child endangerment and now is scheduled to be tried April 4th in Dubuque County District Court. Holloway’s girlfriend, 24-year old Valessa Matlock also has pled not guilty to the charges including child endangerment leading to death. She is scheduled to be tried later this month. The couple’s 2 month old son was found unresponsive last June at their home, was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
