A standoff Monday in Dubuque that lasted nearly seven hours ended in a man’s arrest. Authorities say that 32 year old Jacob Ginter of Dubuque was arrested on charges of first-degree burglary, violation of a no-contact order, domestic assault causing injury, domestic assault impeding air/blood flow, first-degree harassment, domestic assault while displaying a weapon and two counts of child endangerment. Dubuque police were dispatched to a residence on Savanna Drive around 10:00 a.m. Monday for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, an injured woman was treated by first responders. Police say that after negotiating with Ginter for approximately seven hours, during which police were granted a search warrant and arrest warrants for Ginter, he was placed under arrest without incident.
