Pecatonica School District Staff Member Accused of Misconduct

A Pecatonica Area School District staff member is on administrative leave after the district reported receiving multiple allegations of misconduct. The Pecatonica Area School District explained it received the reports of alleged misconduct by an employee, who was not identified, in late February/early March. According to a report, the staff member was immediately placed on leave, according to the district. The district reached out to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office about the allegations and has been cooperating with law enforcement. Lafayette County Sheriff Reg Gill confirmed on Friday that his agency was conducting an investigation with the district.
