One person is dead after a fatal motorcycle accident in the Town of Wheatland occurred on Sunday. Around 2 a.m., the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a motorcycle accident on Holt Road. The motorcyclist was driving when they struck a tree that had fallen during a recent thunderstorm. The driver sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. The name of the individual involved has not been released.
