The Platteville High School campus will be closed today (Thurs Oct 1). An online post by the district stated that instruction will be virtual-only. All Platteville high school students and staff should remain off-campus for the entire day (today). Administrators say someone at Platteville High School tested positive for COVID-19. The high school will pivot to virtual instruction for the day. At this time, officials say they’re unable to determine if the pivot to virtual learning has to continue past today. Staff is working with the Grant County Health Department to identify, notify, and quarantine students or staff who may be at risk.
*River Valley
Also, district officials at River Valley Schools were notified of a positive coronavirus test at the secondary level. Due to the investigation, there will be no school at River Valley High School today (Oct 1). There will be no virtual school or in person school. Their staff is working with Sauk County to complete the investigation and will share more details with River Valley High School families today. All of the co-curricular and after -school activities are canceled today at River Valley High School. The Sauk County Health Department or school personnel will notify staff or students within 24 hours if there is a need to quarantine.
