MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating a robbery on Madison’s southwest side after a man stole a woman’s purse early Wednesday morning.
According to an incident report, the victim was returned home around 1:30 a.m.; while trying to close her garage door, a man approached her, grabbed her purse and ran away.
Police described the suspect as a Black man roughly 20-30 years old and 5 feet, 9 inches tall.
Law enforcement responded with a K-9 unit and drone to search for the suspect, but were unable to find him.
