MADISON, Wis. — A storm system that’s moving into southwestern Wisconsin has already caused widespread power outages in nearby parts of Iowa.
Alliant Energy’s power outage map shows an estimated 6,480 customers throughout northeastern Iowa were without power as of 4 p.m.
A tornado warning was issued for Grant and Lafayette counties because of the approaching storms.
As of 4 p.m., no outages had been reported on Alliant Energy’s or Madison Gas & Electric’s outage maps.
