MADISON, Wis. — A few local artists are coloring the streets on Madison’s west side ahead of a block party this weekend.
20-year-old Dean Johnson started creating chalk art around his neighborhood to spread a little happiness.

Now he’s inspiring more people to get out and get creative. Anyone who likes to draw, paint or make art is invited to come join the party this weekend on Rosa Road.
“We’re just hoping that anyone who is an artist who has made anything over the pandemic and has had difficulty selling during the pandemic, because a lot of artists have, can come here and sell and have a good time and maybe empty a little of their space,” said Johnson.
If you’d like to join, the event is happening Saturday and Sunday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Rosa Road.
