JANESVILLE, Wis. — Janesville police arrested a suspect involved in a stabbing incident Friday night.
Officers arrived at the 200 block of South Main Street for the report of a stabbing.
According to officers, the victim was found in the street with a stab wound to the abdomen. The victim was taken to Mercy Hospital for surgery.
Officers say the investigation led them to 46-year-old male, Willie C. Jenkins.
According to police, Jenkins had fresh blood on his arm. The suspect and victim are known to each other.
The suspect is being held at the Rock County Jail.
The incident remains under investigation.
