MADISON, Wis. — A downtown resident’s tip helped Madison police arrest a man suspected of peering through neighborhood windows last week.
Police said they got a tip from a resident in the 600 block of East Mifflin Street saying they saw posts about a prowler in the area and could identify the man.
The resident identified this suspect as 50-year-old Brian A. Lins. Police said they were able to identify other victims who hadn’t initially reported the incident.
Lins was taken into custody Friday on tentative charges of disorderly conduct and bail jumping.
Police said they’re still looking for witnesses regarding the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Madison Police Department at 608-255-2345 or Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.
