A section of Highway 78 in eastern Lafayette County will remain closed for longer than anticipated. According to an update from the project leader, the highway between Argyle and Blanchardville is going to be closed until 6am Tuesday (5/10). DOT officials say recent weather and work delays are the reason for the additional closure time. Starting at 6am May 10th, traffic on that part of Highway 78 will return to a single lane with flagging operations during daylight working hours. The road-work is expected to be done by June 17th.
