A blockage caused a sanitary sewer line in Dubuque to overflow Wednesday afternoon. The city’s Public Works Department was notified at about 1 p.m. of a blocked line off Stone Hill Drive that was overflowing untreated wastewater onto the ground nearby. The blockage was removed and sewer pipes were open by 3 pm. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources cautions people to keep children and pets away from the area for 48 hours.
