MADISON, Wis. — Those planning to travel around Madison on New Year’s Eve may have to plan ahead due to limited bus schedules throughout the weekend.
While Metro Transit has offered free rides and extended service on New Year’s Eve in the past, the city’s transit service won’t offer the same resource this year.
Buses will follow regular Saturday schedules on New Year’s Eve and regular Sunday schedules on New Year’s Day. Route 80 will run its regular weekend recess schedule and routes 81-84 will not run either day.
Monday will also see Metro buses running on holiday schedules. A full list of routes that run on holiday schedules is available on the city’s website.
