A man faces several charges after authorities said he fired a gun inside a rural Dubuque residence Thursday. 35 year old Travis Dauber was arrested at about 1 p.m. Thursday on charges of domestic assault with injury, child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance, felon in possession of a firearm, intimidation with a dangerous weapon and first-degree harassment. According to the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department, law enforcement from several agencies responded at about 11 a.m. to a residence in Lost Canyon Mobile Home Park, for a report of shots fired. A caller told authorities that Dauber fired a gun inside the residence. When authorities arrived, Dauber fled with the weapon into a wooded area north of the mobile home park. Law enforcement officers set up a perimeter to contain Dauber as authorities searched for him. He was located at about 1 p.m. and ultimately surrendered peacefully. The Iowa State Patrol, Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department and Peosta and Dubuque police departments responded to the scene.Â
