Iowa Department of Transportation says the reopening of one lane of the bridge is expected by Aug. 12, weather permitting, according to an online announcement. The bridge linking Dubuque and East Dubuque, Ill., has been fully closed since July 6 as part of an extensive repair project. The current full closure will be followed by daytime closures for eastbound traffic from Aug. 12 until mid-September.
