A variety of warming centers have been opened due to the extreme cold. Lutheran Church of Peace in Platteville will host an emergency overnight warming shelter starting tonight and tomorrow at 8 PM until 10 AM. On Saturday they will be open from 8 PM to 8 AM. The City of Platteville is also sharing three warming centers: the police department, city hall, and the public library. The City of Dubuque also has a list of available locations and hours on their website. As WGLR receives information about these warming centers, we will update our news story on our website.
