MADISON, Wis. — Since the latest mandatory indoor mask mandate went into effect one week ago, Public Health Madison & Dane County Communications Coordinator Morgan Finke said the department has received a few dozen complaints so far, and is in the process of processing more.
“If there are concerns about adherence to the Order, we can be reached at coronavirus@publichealthmdc.com. We are putting our focus on supporting businesses versus policing individuals. We are not asking law enforcement for assistance with this order. Enforcement will occur through public health education, outreach, compliance and enforcement efforts, a team we already have in place.”
Finke said no one was available for an interview to answer which businesses complaints were filed against or if the complaints came from customers or employees.
