MADISON, Wis. — A bicyclist was hospitalized Monday after a driver hit them in an intersection on the city’s east side.
Police said by the time they got to the scene around 6 p.m., the driver had left the scene. Officers were able to track them down and ask them about the crash.
The driver, a juvenile, admitted to hitting the bicyclist and was ultimately cited for hit-and-run involving injury. Authorities said the driver didn’t show signs of impairment.
The bicyclist’s condition is unknown.
