MADISON, Wis. — As local restaurants and bars are continuing to struggle because of the pandemic, Le Tigre Lounge is holding a T-shirt fundraiser to make money for the business.
The bar closed last year because of the pandemic, then reopened. But it closed again earlier this month due to the mask mandate in Dane County.

Owner Paul Josheff says he chose to close because the bar is small and customers aren’t able to social distance inside. So to help make up for missed funds, he decided to start selling T-shirts and other merchandise to help bring in money.
“I posted I had shirts for sale, but I had no way to sell online and I knew immediately once I posted them, I was in trouble. The orders flooded in,” Josheff said.
The T-shirts are $25 each, and you can order them on Le Tigre Lounge’s Facebook page. They are also planning on selling hats, beer coozies and hoodies.
In a Facebook post earlier this week, Josheff said he was overwhelmed by the community’s support.
The Facebook page says the bar does plan on reopening once the mask mandate expires, which is currently on Sept. 16.
