YORK, Wis. — One person is dead after a single vehicle crash Friday night.
Green County Deputies, New Glarus police and Blanchardville police, EMS and fire department responded to the N9300 block of STH 78 around 10:22 p.m. for the report of a rollover crash.
According to officials, the car was traveling southbound on STH 78 when it exited the roadway and entered the west gravel shoulder.
The vehicle then came back onto the roadway and entered the east ditch.
The car overturned multiple times while going down an embankment. It came to rest after hitting a fence.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Green County Coroner’s Office.
Officers say the vehicle has severe damage and the airbags did not deploy. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation.
