JANESVILLE, Wis. — Two men were arrested Saturday night after a report of an armed subject in Janesville.
According to an incident report, police responded to the complaint near the intersection of Glen Street and Columbus Circle around 5:30 p.m.
The report said a white spray-painted truck was circling the area, and a man got out of the car and entered a person’s open garage.
Police said a caller took photos of the suspect and truck, which caused the suspect to confront the caller and show a handgun before breaking the phone that was used to take the photos.
Officials said the suspect, Terry Foster, of Madison, then ran off, but he was later found hiding under some trees and taken into custody. Foster had an active warrant from Plover for auto theft.
After a short chase, police also found the truck and took the driver, Daniel R. Thompson, of Tomah, into custody. Police said Thompson was in possession of methamphetamine and had several outstanding warrants.
Anyone with more information on this incident is asked to contact Rock County Dispatch or Janesville Area Crime Stoppers.
