A Dubuque woman has been sentenced to two years of probation for beating a boy with a metal floor lamp pole. 32-year-old Ty’Teanna Williams of Dubuque has pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily injury and has been sentenced to two years probation for beating a boy with a metal floor lamp pole. Court documents state that authorities responded to an area middle school Feb. 21 for a report of a 14-year-old who had reported being assaulted by his mother. The boy was taken to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for his injuries, which included an approximate 1-inch laceration on his left temple, bruises and a small abrasion on his left wrist.
