Human remains Found in Delaware County

Authorities said human remains located earlier this month in Delaware County are believed to be those of a man who went missing nearly 10 years ago. According to a press release from Delaware County Sheriffs, Pheasant hunters reported the discovery of the remains in a field one mile south of the 1300 block of 180th Street west of Manchester. Results from an autopsy are not yet available but that “it is believed that the remains are those of Brian Burns. Burns, of Manchester, was declared dead by a Delaware County jury in 2021, eight years after he was reported missing on Dec. 23, 2013. Authorities are investigating Burns’ disappearance and ask anyone with information to contact the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department at 563-927-3135.
