Defense attorneys have rested their case in an ongoing murder trial against a man accused of committing a fatal February shooting. 25 year old Aaron C. Johnson of Chicago is on trial for first-degree murder and first-degree robbery in the fatal shooting of 31 year old Lonnie Burns of Dubuque on February 7th. Johnson’s defense team has maintained throughout the trial that Johnson acted in self-defense after hearing another individual in the group say Burns was carrying a gun. No weapon was found on Burns’ person when police arrived at the scene.
