2 Vehicle Crash With Injuries in Grant County

On Monday, at around 4:00 PM, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two vehicle crash at the intersection of County Highway D and Pioneer Road in Platteville Township. 61 year old Kristi Simons of Platteville was traveling south on County Highway D in her vehicle. 52 year old Troy Moen of Platteville was traveling north on County Highway in his truck. Moen attempted to turn west on Pioneer Road but instead, turned into the path of Simons causing a crash at the intersection. Moen and his passenger were not injured in the crash. Simons was taken to Southwest Health Center for treatment of her injuries. Assisting at the scene was the Platteville Fire Department, Southwest Health EMS and Precision Towing of Platteville. The crash remains under investigation.
