Céline Dion marked a major return to live performance on September 12 with the opening night of her Paris residency at La Défense Arena. The concert placed her back at the center of a full-scale production after years of health challenges limited her ability to perform regularly.
During the opening-night show, Dion moved through several defining moments from her career, including an emotional rendition of My Heart Will Go On and a performance of Pour Que Tu M’aimes Encore. The set also featured her newer song Dansons, alongside an unexpected electro-disco section that brought a different energy to the production.
One of the night’s most dramatic moments came during La Wally, performed as artificial snow fell around the stage. Dion later pushed her voice during All by Myself, including an a cappella passage that drew a strong response from the audience.
The residency follows Dion’s public battle with stiff-person syndrome, which she disclosed in 2022. Her Paris concerts represent her return to sustained live performances after several years away from touring.
