JANESVILLE TOWNSHIP, Wis. — Rock County Sheriff Deputies and the City of Janesville Fire Department responded to a traffic crash involving a stolen car early Saturday morning.
Deputies arrived to the intersection of West Rockport Road and South Hayner Road in Janesville Township around 5:50 a.m. Saturday morning.
According to officials, two overturned vehicles were found off the roadway with significant damages.
A 22-year-old male from Beloit was driving Yukon Denali northbound on South Hayner Road.
The driver failed to stop at a stop sign and hit a 22-year-old male from Janesville traveling westbound on West Rockport road.
The Janesville male was pinned inside the vehicle and taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
According to deputies, the Rock County Communication center received information that the Yukon Denali involved had been stolen from a residence in the 1900 Block of S Hayner Road.
The driver of the Denali was treated at a local hospital and arrested for a felony warrant.
The investigation is ongoing.
