MADISON, Wis. — Dane County is encouraging its residents to get out of the house and get dinner to support local restaurants.
Dane Buy Local hosted its 5th annual “Eat Local, Give Local” restaurant event all day Thursday.
A total of 38 restaurants are participating this year. One of those restaurants — Vom Fass Delectable — is hosting a culinary dinner theatre, featuring a 5-course dinner with drink pairings.
“It helps a lot of young entrepreneurs and even older entrepreneurs thrive in the community, which adds a vibrance and a uniqueness to Madison,” Vom Fass Delectable owner Justin Gibson said.
A total of 10% of sales will help Dane Buy Local in its efforts to serve local businesses.
