BELOIT, Wis. — Beloit police have taken four people into custody for their alleged involvement in a string of weekend shootings that left one dead and three others injured.
During a Monday morning news conference, Beloit Police Chief Andre Sayles said police responded Friday night to the 1800 block of Fayette Avenue for a report of a shooting. When they arrived officers found a 20-year-old man who had been shot multiple times. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
As officers were investigating the Fayette Avenue shooting, they got a report of another shooting in the 600 block of Woodward Avenue around 11 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old woman with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police said the two Friday shootings were related.
On Saturday, Beloit police responded to yet another shooting that left two people, a 27-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man, with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Police responded to the 1600 block of Dewey Avenue around 7:30 p.m. As officers were investigating, police spotted the suspect vehicle. Police chased after the suspects and eventually took four men into custody. One suspect escaped.
Sayles identified the men as 21-year-old Raymond Gosha, 23-year-old Steve Brock, 22-year-old Garrett Rocha and 19-year-old Tarious Armstrong.
Gosha was arrested on three counts of attempted homicide as party to a crime, tentative charges of felon in possession of a firearm, possession with intent to deliver, possession of cocaine, resisting arrest and felony bail jumping.
Brock was arrested on three counts of attempted homicide as a party to a crime and felon in possession of a firearm.
Rocha was arrested on three tentative counts of attempted homicide as a party to a crime and felon in possession of a firearm.
Armstrong was arrested on three counts of attempted homicide as a party to a crime.
In addition to the three weekend shootings, police also responded to six additional shots fired calls, Sayles said.
