MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin State Patrol is planning to conduct aerial traffic enforcement in four Wisconsin counties this week.
WSP officials announced the efforts Monday saying they plan to watch for traffic violations over the course of five days, weather permitting.
According to Wisconsin Department of Transportation officials, aerial enforcement makes it easier for law enforcement to spot speeding or aggressive driving. Once a pilot spots a violation, they contact a trooper on the ground who initiates a traffic stop.
The aerial enforcement missions are planned for the following counties and roadways:
Tuesday, August 24
· Fond du Lac County – WIS 26
Wednesday, August 25
· Dane County – I-39/90
Friday, August 27
· Eau Claire County – I-94
Saturday, August 28
· Rock County – I-39/90
Sunday, August 29
· Dane County – I-39/90
