Man Suffers Serious Injuries In UTV Rollover

Authorities say a man suffered serious injuries in a rollover crash involving a UTV Friday in Dubuque County. 38 year old Adam McElmeel of Dyersville was taken by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital and later transferred to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City for treatment of serious injuries. A report from the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department says that McElmeel was traveling south on Hartbecke Road approaching McAllister Road southeast of Farley at about 5:15 a.m. Friday when he began doing several donuts in the roadway. The UTV hit a rut and overturned onto its side.
